Robert N. Wier was Robert Napolean Wier. He married a Miss Mary Jane Reid in 1829. They moved to Noxubee County, Mississippi in the late 1830s. They had a son named Joseph and a daughter named Hannah, thus I believe he was the son of Joseph Wier and Hannah McCrery -- which pretty much eliminates Joseph and Hannah from being the parents of Robert Wyres.
