ROCKFORD - Robert B. "Bud" BakerS2, 81, of Rockford died Tuesday evening, Nov. 20, 2001, in Highview Retirement Home in Rockford. Born May 9, 1920, in Seward, son of Samuel and Nellie (Stotler) Baker. He attended Seward School and graduated from Byron High School in 1938. Robert married Josephine Smith on Dec. 29, 1945, in Middle Creek Church in Winnebago. He farmed in the Byron/Winnebago area for more than 60 years. Robert wsa active in the Westfield Community Center and a member of Middle Creek Church for more than 50 years. Surviving family includes wife, Josephine; daughters, [names of living individuals have been removed] of Byron. Predeceased by parents; brothers, LaVerne Baker and Roy Baker; and sisters, Evelyn Stahl and Betty Cook.

Services ar 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, in Middle Creek Presbyterian Church, 12473 Montague Road, Winnebago, with visitation from 1 p.m. to service time. The Rev. Keith Jones, pastor will officiate. Burial in Middle Creek Cemetery, Winnebago. Arrangements by Genandt Funeral Home, 602 N. Elida St./ Winnebago Rd. Winnebago. Memorials to Middle Creek Presbyterian Church and Alzhiener's Association.
