    "[Richard Hallett] was married twice. His first wife was Amy, born 2mo. (April 1`. 1694 daughter of John and Mary (Cock) Bowne, whom he married 9mo. (Nov.) 14, 1717, and who died in 1733; they had five children.
    His second wife, whom he married in 1739 at Birmingham, Pennsylvania, was Ann (Gilpin) Miller, widow of Joseph Miller, and daughter of Joseph and Hannah Gilpin, "Yt was of Pennsylvania". Anne Hallett died 9mo. 15, 1759."

    Will of "Richard Hallett, of Newtown", dated "26 of the 8 month, 1768" [26 Aug 1768], proved 22 Jul 1769, mentions sons Thomas and Israel; grandson Jonah Hallett; daughters Amy Shotwell, Lydia Shotwell; "my four children". Negro man James to be free and supported by sons if unable to support himself. Sons to be executors.
