Mr. Ralph E. Patterson, 77, 413 N. 18th St., Beech Grove, died Sunday at the Turtle Creek Convalescent Center in Beech Grove, following a lingering illness.
Mr. Patterson was born Oct. 31, 1904, in Westport, the son of Edwin R. and Zelda Gartin Patterson.He graduated from Westport High School in 1923 and was married to Helen Krumrine July 12, 1927 in Beech Grove, and she survives, with one son, the Rev. George Patterson, a Baptist minister in Shelbyville; two grandsons, two granddaughters and one great-grandchild; a nephew, Ralph Wiggins, Westport, and a niece, Gertrude Kuntz, Westport. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister who died in infancy and one sister, Lorein Wiggins, Westport, who died Sept. 11, 1971.He was a 50-year member of the Westport Masonic Lodge and a member of the Park Grove Baptist Church in Beech Grove.The services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Little Funeral Home at 13th and Main in Beech Grove with the Rev George Duncan officiating and with burial in the Washington Park Cemetery in Indianapolis. Visitation will begin on Tuesday afternoon.The family requests that memorials be given to the American Cancer Society.--
