↑ The birth record was recorded in the Quaker records after Rachel was married. Since both the Bolton and Uxbridge record attribute the record to the Quaker records, they are based on the same source. It appears to clearly be 1750/51. Legally at the time, the first month was March, so it is not clear if the Uxbridge compiler misinterpreted it, or if there was some contextual clue that told them it meant January instead. The record may not represent the birth location. Since we have no record prior to her marriage, only secondary assertions (see the marriage sources), it is not clear how her maiden name was determined to be Stearns.
