"Phillip Huston...was born in, or at least lived at an early age, in Kent County, Maryland in the 1760's. He joined the Maryland Regiment as a drummer in 1780, for which he later received some bounty land in Illinois. Following the Revolutionary War he went to Baltimore to become a taylor and relocated to Taylorstown,... Buffalo Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania. From there, he returned to the Army and fought in the war of 1812 and returned to Washington County, Pennsylvania where he died in 1829.
