Vining

April 20 - The death of Mr. Olson occurred at his home in town Wednesday morning, April 15, at 5 o'clock. Mr. Olson was 83 years of age and had been a patient sufferer for a long time, so his death had not been unexpected. He was one of the early settlers here and was a devoted Christian and highly esteemed by all who knew him. He leaves an aged wife, six sons, a great number of grand children and a few great grand children, besides a large circle of friends.

The entire community extended their heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family. The funeral occurred from the Vining church Sunday at 3 o'clock. Rev. Iverson, of Battle Lake, and Rev. Tjornhom, of Fergus, officiated. A large crowd gathered at the church to pay their last respects. Mr. Olson's sons all live in this vicinity except Andrew, who is a student at the Augsbury seminary at Minneapolis, from which he will graduate this spring and enter the ministry.
