Nettie Ethel Queen Barnett, 97, of Marble, died Monday, Aug. 25, 2003 in the Valley View Care & Rehab Center in Andrews. She was born April 5, 1906 in Cherokee County, and remainded a life long resident. She was the oldest member of the Mt Zion Baptist Church in Marble. She was a daughter of the late Ranz and Dora Huskins Queen and was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Arthur Barnett; and two sons, Charles Ralph Barnett and Joel Barnett. She was a helpmate to her husband for forty nine years, a homemaker, a beloved mother of eight children, and a beloved grandmother to her many grandchildren.
