Mrs. Nancy Edwards, a pioneer of the Oregon country, died at St. Joseph's hospital this morning at the age of 68 years from an attack of dropsy. Mrs. Edwards crossed the plains in 1865 to Yamhill county, where she lived for 20 years. From there she moved to Kelso, where she was an active member of the M.E. church and the W.R.C. Since the death of her husband 12 years ago, she has lived with her children in Oregon and Washington.
Mrs. Edwards is survived by 2 sons, L. J. Grigsby of Coos Bay and J. G. Edwards of Vancouver; 3 daughters, Mrs. J. M. Landon of Lents, Oregon, Mrs. H. G. McDonald of Napavine and Mrs. C. L. Storey of Montesano; and 2 brothers, L. Michael of Portland and G. A. Michael of Amity, Oregon.
Funeral servies will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Knapp funeral chapel, with Rev. J. M. Canse officiating. Internment will be in the city cemetery.
