According to information sent from Rhoton to Abshier in March 2003, Nancy's first marriage was to a Mr. Childress. Nancy's maiden name is not known. She had at least one child with Mr. Childress, by the name of Cassie Childress. Nancy's second marriage was to Bartholomew Gaddie in 1826 and her third was to William Carlile. When Nancy's daughter from her first marriage, Cassie Childress, married Lewis Joseph Carlile, son of William Carlile from a previous marriage, Nancy became her own daughter's mother-in-law!
