25 Mar 2005 - Mrs. Mildred Scone Sakers, 90, formerly of Bradford Village, Santee, died Friday March 25, 2005, in the Orangeburg Nursing Home.No local services are planned. Burial will be in Edgewood Memorial Park, Glenn Mill, Pa.Mrs. Sakers was born in Trainer, Pa., a daughter of the late George E. Scone and Clara Bryant Scone. She was a member of the Santee Presbyterian Church and the widow of Frederick L. Sakers.Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Joan Hogate, of Bear, Del.; and Mrs. Janet Clark, of Santee; brother, Joseph Scone, of New York; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Santee Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 649, Santee SC 29142.Avinger Funeral Home of Holly Hill is assisting the family.
