1) Matilda Patton3, b. ca 1769, marr. Joseph Davidson on 14 June 1789 in Montgomery Co. Va. He was born 1762 in Pa, son of John G and Martha Davidson, died 1849. John Goolman Davidson (d. 1793) was the pioneer settler of Bluefield, W Va. His original cabin is located in the Bluefield City Park, having been moved from its original location. Joseph served in the Revolution as an Indian scout and spy. They moved to Mercer Co (W) Va (21) His will is recorded there (Book 1:23). Eight children. (55) She was living in 1850 Tazewell Co. h) James C Davidson, b. 1797?, marr (1) Julia H Brown; she died 4 March 1853 Tazewell Co. (2) Cath Bailey. He died after 1860 prob in Tazewell Co Va.
