Mary Kitchener's origins are unknown. Her first sighting is on 29th September 1679, when she married a widower named John Kitchener at Shillington in Bedfordshire. Mary and John had eight children baptised at Shillington between 1680 and 1695, although one died as a baby.

John died in 1697, when their youngest child was only two years old. Mary has yet to be traced after John's death.
