Note: one source claims that Mary's father was Benjamin Harrison (no other info).
Biography Mary Emma Harrison was born about 1745, in Augusta County, Virginia. Her parents were Jeremiah Harrison, and Catherine Adams. She married John Handley[1] in 1768, in Berkeley, James County, Virginia. She passed away Dec. 4, 1829, in Huntington, Cabell County, Virginia, USA[2][3][4][5]
The children of Mary and John Handley were:
Samuel Handley (1771 - 1851)[6] Sarah Handley Keyes (1776 - 1846)[7]
Mary Emma Harrison Handley BIRTH 1745 Augusta County, Virginia, USA DEATH 4 Dec 1829 (aged 83–84) Huntington, Cabell County, West Virginia, USA BURIAL: Guyandotte Cemetery Cabell County, West Virginia, USA
MARY, WIFE OF MAJ. JOHN HANDLEY REV. 1812 1745 - 1829
It is my understanding that this grave was moved to the Guyandotte Cemetery from another location by the DAR. Several of the Rev. War soldiers buried here were moved from other cemeteries in the county.
