Mary Bentman was born in late July or early August 1769 and baptised on 19th November, when she was 15 weeks old, at Hexton in Hertfordshire, daughter of Mary Bentman, formerly Pakes, and her husband William Bentman, a labourer.

Mary has yet to be traced after her baptism.
