"Marion was a Lieutenant in the Army Air Corp during WWII, stationed in England with the 8th Air Force. He had completed 24 bombing missions, and was on his last mission when he was shot down. He took a German 20mm in his stomach, but he was able to parachute out of the plane, but was dead upon reaching the ground.

Attended Scottsville High School, and Hughes School in Danville, VA."
