Margaret F. Rowlands, 75, of Slatington, passed away Monday, January 23, 2012 in Lehigh Valley Hospital Center, Cedar Crest. She was the wife of the late Robert E. Rowlands. Born in Orefield (Hoffmans), she was the daughter of the late, Henry H. and Ellen A. (Grim) Wotring. Margaret worked in the shipping department of the former DeVille Blouse Co. in Danielsville. She was a member of the American Legion Womens Auxiliary in Slatington and was past president of four County Councils. Margaret was a member of United Presbyterian Church, where she was a church elder, church and pre-school treasurer and sang on the senior choir. She was a member of the Jets Bowling League, Slatington.
Survivors: Son, Scott R. Rowlands and wife Michele of Emmaus; daughters, Barbara A. and husband Stacy L. Smith of Schnecksville and Sharon L. and husband Edward E. Hartman of Slatington; grandchildren, Eric, Megan and husband Ed, Shawn, Garrett and Haley; brother Clark Wotring and wife Roberta of Allentown; sister Geraldine Radeline of Mechanicsville; nieces and nephews.
Services: 11 a.m., Saturday, January 28, 2012 in Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. 2nd St., Slatington. Calling hour 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Interment to follow at Neffs Union Cemetery, Neffs, PA.
