Lucy Bechstein

DESHLER -- Lucy M Bechstein, 78, of Deshler OH died Tuesday, June 24, 2003 at the Wood CO Hospital in Bowling Green.

Born December 29, 1924 in Wood CO she was the daughter of John and Mary (B aumbarger) Wilhelm. On December 29, 1945 she married Ira Bechstein at t he St. Louis Catholic Church in Custar, and he survives.

She was a graduate of Milton Twp High School and a homemaker. She was a li fetime member of the St. Louis Catholic Church and its Altar & Rosary Soci ety; and a member of the Western Square Dance Club of Weston.

Also surviving are five sons; Larry (Linda) of Maumee; Gary (Phyllis) of D eshler; Mike (Linda) of Custar; Joe (Ellen) of Deshler; and Fred (Juanit a) of Custar; a daughter, Teresa (Steve) Sager, Custar; a daughter-in-la w, Deb Bechstein, Custar; a brother, Lawrence 'Pud' Wilhelm, Custar; fo ur sisters, Hilda Courtney, Deshler; Clara Lance, Bowling Green; Mary Phil lips, Kalida; Martha Phillips, Perrysburg; 13 grandchildren and one gre at grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a son, Wm; 3 brothers, Paul, Bernard and Haro ld Wilhelm; and a half-sister, Delores Schneider.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Friday at t he St. Louis Catholic Church, Custar, with Fr. Paul Fahrbach officiatin g. Graveside services will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-5 and 6-9 p.m. at the Rodenberg er Funeral Home of Deshler, with a scripture service at 8:30 p.m.

The family suggests memorials be given to the St. Louis School Parish Foun dation or to a charity of the donor's choice.
