Published in the Ingham County Democrat on Mar 9, 1905 p.5 col 4 - GONE TO THE GREAT BEYOND - Lina B.Swan, youngest dau of Mr.&Mrs. Robert E. Swan was born Apr 10, 1885 & passed from earth life Mar 2, 1905 at the home of Mr.&Mrs. C.F.Bassett. She was married to Orla Garrison on Dec 30, 1903. She bore her suffering with patience, knowing sweet rest was near. She was a devoted member of the O.E.S (Order of Eastern Star), who will greatly miss her at their lodge meetings. She left a letter telling of her requests which were now left undone. She leaves to mourn the loss of a loved one, a kind husband, father, mother, 3 sisters & 1 brother. The funeral services were held at the M.E.church in Dansville on Sunday, conducted by Rev.A.F.White who officiated at the wedding only 14 short months ago. The O.E.S. took charge of the remains & they were laid to rest in Fairview Cemeter.
