Kenneth D. Crumrine, 88, of Thermopolis died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2008 at Worland Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center where he had been a resident the past two years.
He was born Jan. 28, 1920 in El Dorado, Kans. to Arvel and Letha (Wyman) Crumrine. At a young age, he began working in the oil fields of Colorado and Wyoming.
He married Marian Mead in April, 1951 in Afton, Wyo. Mrs. Crumrine died in 1967 in Powell. Left with a family of three boys and one daughter, Ken moved to Thermopolis in 1968. He was employed as an appliance and electronics repairman at Fair Deal Furniture for 31 years.
In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and later his yearly visit to his son in Cutbank, Mont.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marian; his parents; one son, Randy; one sister, Geraldine; and two brothers, Robert and Charles.
Mr. Crumrine is survived by his sons, Donald of Ten Sleep, David of Washington, Steven of Cheyenne and Richard of Basin; his daughter, R'Lou Blackmon of Thermopolis; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Aug. 11 at 10:30 a.m. at Mortimore Funeral Home in Thermopolis with Cal Voigt officiating.
Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery in Powell, Wyo.
