Facts and Events
Died of Fever. Joined South Church 06 August 1775 and was dismissed by death August 1799. "Last on the list comes John, the leather dresser who owned the estate now held by the heirs of the late Nathaniel Swift and Jonathan, besides a fine estate in Frye Village that he with his second wife, Lydia Hardy, by the aid of Bradford sales, hold for years and sell to James Barnard near the great Rock on the Hilltop. We find his son John in the little home at the foot of the slope where grew up. Charlotte, wife of Winslow Battles, and Henry Wardwell who lived near the estates so many years. His Wm. laid down his life at Maryland Heights early in the War." -Some Wardwell Tax-Payers Charlotte Abbott Andover Townsman 07 May 1897 References
