Funeral services for John Oakley, 91, Milton, who died Saturday, April 23, in Mercy Hospital, Janesville, were held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 25, in the Albrecht Funeral Home, Milton Junction, with Rev. Alvin Briggs, pastor of the Milton Junction Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in the Milton Junction Cemetery.

The son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Oakley, he was born Sept. 9, 1874, in the Edgerton area, and farmed in the Edgerton and Whitewater areas until moving to Milton many years ago. His wife preceded him in death six years ago. Surviving are his son, C. F. Oakley of Milwaukee, nieces and nephews.
