Land Record in Tennessee

From Tennessee East District, Book 2, Page 695, Land Grant #1647:
June 20, 1810, the heirs of John Clendinon are listed as Mary Clendinon, James Clendinon, John Clendinon, Polly Clendinon, Nancy Clendinon, Ester McGee, Jenny Beard, and Betsy Clabaugh regarding some 212 acres on Flat Creek in Sevier County, TN.


John died in 1810 in Sevier or Jefferson Co, TN. From East TN Patent Bk 2, page 695, 212 acres on Flat Creek, south of the French Broad, Sevier Co TN was willed to his heirs: Mary, James, John, Nancy, and Polly Clendenin, Ester McGee, Jenny Beard, and Betsey Clabaugh. (Mary was his wife; sons in law were John McGee, James Beard, and Charles Clabaugh.)

Some internet geneologies claim that John Clendenin married Mary Stewart, but there do not appear to be any sources to support this. Needs additional research/sources.
