Joanne Louise Rendos(1935-05-19 - 2011-05-30)
Joanne Louise Rendos, 76, of Monessen, went to be with her loving husband Andy in Heaven, on Monday, May 30, 2011. She was born in United, Pa., on May 19, 1935, the daughter of the late Steve and Helen (Kapalka) Kors. Joanne was a resident of Monessen since 1977, and a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church. She had worked as the office manager for the former Mon Valley Answering Service, and later owned and operated Five Star Answering Service. Joanne was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed attending her grandchildren's functions and an occasional trip to a casino. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Donna Rendos, of Monessen; three daughters and sons-in-law, Beth and Ed Minardi and Georgeanne and Tim Kroll, all of Monessen, Stephanie and Tom Hines, of Lewisburg, W.Va.; two brothers, Amos (Ann) Eckel, of Greensburg, Steve (Connie) Kors Jr., of Dayton, Ohio; a sister, Kimberly Hunker, of Scottdale; eight grandchildren, Samantha Rendos, Shelby Minardi, Andrea Kroll, Jacob Rendos, Andrew, Kristy and Steven Winnings and Julianna Hines; a sister-in-law, Pat Henry, of West Newton; and by nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew J. Rendos Jr.; and by her son, Andrew J. Rendos III. Friends will be received on Thursday, June 2, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC. AND CREMATION SERVICES, 441 Reed Ave., Monessen, (724) 684-8750. Services will be held on Friday, June 3, beginning with a 9:30 a.m. blessing in the funeral home, followed by a 10 a.m. Funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church.
