Joan McKenzie Crumrine, 81, of Hamilton, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2011 in a Hamilton nursing home. Cremation services have been entrusted to Riley Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 20 at Saint Mary's Anglican Episcopal Church, 120 West Main, Hamilton, TX 76531.
Joan was born February 21, 1929 in San Antonio to James P. McKenzie and Maurine Chamberlain McKenzie. She was raised and educated in San Antonio where she graduated from Jefferson High School. She received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Trinity University. She married Moorman Crumrine December 30, 1950 in San Antonio. They moved to Hamilton in 1959. Mrs. Crumrine was active in the Maude Shockley Art Club and was a Past Sr. Warden of the Vestry at St Mary's Episcopal Church.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Moorman Crumrine; son James Crumrine (Susan) of Beeville, daughter Anna Crumrine (Lorraine) of Aurora, CO, son John Crumrine (Michele) of Middletown, DE, son Andrew Crumrine of Killeen; a sister, Carolyn Gray of San Antonio; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
