Jayne Ellyn Futchko Avid Stephen King Reader, was active in her church

Jayne Ellyn Futchko (nee Wardwell), 48, of Lorain died Wednesday at her home after a long illness. Born in Boston, she had lived in Lorain since 1958, graduating from Lorain High School in 1965. She attended Lorain County Community College and worked in the accounting department of Prescott, Ball and Turben. She was also an independent contractor for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. A member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Lorain, she was active in the Marian Guild. She was an avid reader and especially enjoyed Stephen King novels. Survivors include her son, David of Lorain; daughters Darlene Silva of Lorain and Christina Futchko of North Ridgeville; a grandson, mother Mary Wardwell of Lorain; brother Lawrence Wardwell of Swans Island, Maine, and sister Barbara Molnar and Carlene Dallos, both of Lorain. She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence, in 1976. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, in the John J. Gluvna Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway, Lorain, where the Marian Guild/Christian Mothers will conduct a joint Christian Wake and Rosary Service at 7 p.m. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the funeral Chapel, followed by 10 a.m. mass at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Lorain. "Jayne Ellyn Futchko was an independent contractor for the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Mrs. Futchko, 48, died Wednesday at her home in Lorain. She had cancer. As an independent contractor, she handled administrative tasks associated with mortgages. Before that, she worked in the accounting department of Prescott, Ball and Turben. She was born in Boston and moved to Lorain in 1958. Mrs. Futchko, who graduated from Lorain High School in 1965, later attended Lorain County Community College. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Lorain. Mrs. Futchko enjoyed reading, especially Stephen King novels. Survivors include a son, David of Lorain; daughters, Darlene Silva of Lorain and Christina of North Ridgeville; a grandson; her mother, Mary Wardwell of Lorain; a brother; and two sisters. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow at John J. Gluvna Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway, Lorain. A funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1305 E.
