Jack Harrington, 82, of Grants Pass, died Thursday, Dec. 3, 1998, as a result of an automobile accident in Grants Pass.
Visitation will be Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Lundberg's L.B. Hall Funeral Home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
He was born on May 14, 1916, in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. He married Helen Crumrine on April 28, 1940, in Yuma, Ariz. He served in the U.S. Army from 1945 to 1946, during World War II. He worked as a plastering contractor until his retirement. He moved to Grants Pass in 1980 from Nipomo, Calif.
He loved gardening.
In addition to his wife of Grants Pass, survivors include daughter Helen Marie Johnson of Fountain Valley, Calif., Bobbie Henry of Novato, Calif., and Mary Swanson of Grants Pass and sisters Mary Fantone of Grants Pass and Ruby Benson of Sacramento, Calif.
