The 1893 & 1899 Keene Directories list him as a freight cashier for the F.R.R., living at 12 Howard. Living there at 1900 & 1910 census. In the freight office of B. & M. R. R. in Keene; was financial secretary of the Y. M. C. A. several years; is a bookkeeper, and res. Keene (1919). Living in Keene at 12 Howard Street at 1920 Census and in 1901, 1907,1913, 1922,1924,1925,1933,1934 & 1935 Keene Directories, which show him working for Knowlton & Stone Company. Living in Keene at 1930 census, home valued at $5000 "The house at Marlboro Depot occupied by H.O. Wardwell was broken into last Sunday, while the family were at church, and twelve dollars in money was taken." -New Hampshire Sentinel 18 August 1881 Gardner- H.O.
