The Rev. Haute Wyatt 1596-1638 was the son of Jane Finch and Sir George Wyatt of Boxley Hall, CO Kent, England. He was the grandson of Jane Haute and Sir Thomas Wyatt, "the Younger" [1][2] of Allington, Kent CO, England and great-grandson of poet Thomas wyatt the elder.[[3]] The Rev. Haute graduated from Oxford College and was soon after ordained as a minister of the Church of England (Episcopal).In 1619 he came to Jamestown, VA and remained there until 1625. Here he served as chaplain for his brother, Sir Francis Wyatt, the governor of Virginia. He returned to England as vicar of Boxley Parish Church where he died and is buried beneath the chancel. His children all returned to Virginia. The Rev. Haute Wyatt married first Barbara Eliza Mitford and by her he had three children. A History of the Wyatt, New and Gatewood Lineage, by Zona Gatewood Canterbury, page 29.Born Boxley Parish, Kentshire, b. 1594 at Boxley; d. Aug 1, 1638 at Boxley Rectory. Came to Virginia Nov. 18, 1621 on the "George" and served as Rector of the church of Jamestown, James City CO. VA 1621-25. 1625 returned to England and was Vicar of Merston and Boxley Parishes which he served until his death. He is a gateway ancestor and his lines can be traced to King Edward, III.[[4]]

EDUCATION: Matriculated Queen's College, Oxford, 25 Oct 1611. CHURCH: Minister at Jamestown, James City, Virginia, 1621-1625. CHURCH: Vicar of Boxley {Boxley, Kent, England}.

EMIGRATION: Came to Virginia in the "Georgia", 1621; returned to England prior to his death.

CONDITION: Died before mother.
