Hannah Swallow was born on 27th September 1804 at Wheathampstead in Hertfordshire, daughter of Sarah Swallow, formerly Hopkins, and her husband William Swallow. Sadly Hannah died when she was only two years old, being buried on 26th March 1807. The bill for a coffin for her survives amongst the Wheathampstead parish records, suggesting that her burial was paid for by the parish. William and Sarah would go on to have another daughter named Hannah in 1814.
