The following is the closest lead I've found on our George so far.:
Father:Thomas Wilkinson christened 1580
Son : George Wilkinson/Wilkenson (I've seen it spelled both way's)christened 10 June 1593 ,St. Nicholas Par.Reg. and Nonconf, Newcastle Upon Thyne, Northumberand,England. (Married a)
Francis Rand on 16 Nov. 1619 at Saint John, Newcastle, upon Thyne, Northumberland England
No children were listed

Things to note and my comment
1. Thomas's christening of 1580, makes him possibly 13 when George was born, in those day's not unusual.Of course his birth could have been several years earlier.
2. George,s christening and his marriage date of 1619.After several year's at this I don't consider date's to be written in stone.I think these dates could still fall into the time frame to warrent further investigation.
3. George's father being a Thomas.It was the custom to name the first male child after his grandfather on his fathers side.No children were listed but again, that is'nt written in stone either. This George could easily have a son Thomas.
4. Wife "Francis". the female virsion is usually Frances
Just something for us to ponder.You know more about George than I do.Let me know if any of this sounds familiar plausible to you.
