George Wardwell, at their May training on the 6th inst., after undergoing the inspection and performing the duties prescribed by the law, were dimissed and returned to their homes without the slightest disaffection toward their officers, although the stimulous of spirits was not offered to them." - Essex Gazette 10 May 1828
