George W. RHODES

Natchitoches. - Funeral services were held here at 11:30 Wednesday morning for George W. Rhodes, 61, who was instantly killed MOnday near Mineola, Texas, when his car was hit by a truck.

A native of Natchitoches parish, he is survived by his widow, the former Mae Webb of Natchitoches; two daughters, Mrs. Raymond Arceneaux of Eunice and Frances Rhodes, Natchitockes; three brothers, S., of Natchitoches, James A., of New Iberia, and Dan, of Freeport, TExas; two sisters, Mrs. R.V. Muckelroy, Lockhart, Texas, and Miss Reppy Rhodes of the Byrd High School faculty, Shreveport, and one grandchild, Judith Ann Arceneaux.

The funeral was held from the chapel of Blanchard Funeral Home, the Rev. Troy Wheeler officiating, with interment in Fern Park cemetery.

Mr. Rhodes was a veteran of World War I and served int eh U.S. Navy from 1910 to 1915.
