THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW
YORK, to Geo. W. Lewis, jr., of Amboy,
Oswego Co., N.Y.; Henry D. Lewis, of Bald-
winsville, Onondaga Co., N. Y.; Lawrence H.
Lewis, of Cuba, Crawford Co., Mo.; Sarah P.
Tisdale, of Parish, Oswego Co., N. Y.; Minnie
Lewis, of Parish, Oswego Co., N. Y.; Andrew
Lewis, of Parish, Oswego Co., N. Y.; John W.
Lewis, whose place of residence is unknown.
Heirs and next of kin of Geo. W. Lewis, late of
the town of Amboy, in the County of Oswego,
deceased, send greeting:
Whereas, Emmet Lewis, of the town of
Amboy, in the county of Oswego, has lately
made application to our Surrogate of the
County of Oswego, to have a certain instrument
in writing, relating to the real and personal estate
(illegible) provided as the Last Will and Testament of
said Geo. W. Lewis, deceased; you and each
of you are hereby cited and required personally,
to be and appear before our said Surrogate, at his
office in the village of Mexico, in said County
of Oswego, on the 12th day of Jan. next, at 10
o'clock in the forenoon of that day, then and
there to attend the probate of said instrument
as the Last Will and Testament of said deceased.
In Testimony Whereof, We have
caused the Seal of Office of our said
Surrogate's Court, of the County of Os-
wego to be hereunto affixed.

gate of the said County, at the village of
Mexico, in said County, the 26th day of
Nov., in the year one thousand eight
hundred and seventy-nine.

George left all of his real and personal property to his son Emmitt Lewis: "Will of George W. Lewis. In the name of God, Amen. I, Geo. W. Lewis of the town of Amboy Oswego County and State of N.Y.: being of bound and transitory life, do therefore make, ordain and publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament, that is to say: First, After all my lawful debts are paid and discharged. I give and bequeath to my son Emmitt Lewis all of my estate both real and personal. Likewise, I make, constitute and appoint Emmitt Lewis of Amboy Oswego County N.Y. to be executor of this my last will and Testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made. In witness whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal the twenty seventh day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy nine. Geo. W. Lewis LS The above written instrument was subscribed by the said Geo. w. Lewis in our presence and acknowledged by him to each of us, and he at the same time declared the above instrument so subscribed to be his last will and testament, and we at his request, have signed our names as witnesses hereto, in his presence and in the presence of each other, and written opposite our names our respective places of residence. David J. House West Amboy Oswego Co. N.Y. Chauncey Tisdale West Amboy Oswego Co.N.Y. County of Oswego.Ss. Be it remembered that on the day of the date hereof, the last will and testament of Geo.W. Lewis late of the town of Amboy deceased (being the annexed written instrument) was duly proved before T.W. Skinner surrogate of the said county, according to law, as and for the last Will and Testament of the real and personal estate of said deceased, which said last Will and Testament, the proofs and examinations taken thereon, are recorded in this office. L.S. In testimony whereof, the surrogate of the county hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal of office, this 24th day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty.
