Arnoldsburg Man, 75, Dies Sunday

George Jackson Kingsbury, 75, prosperous farmer of Arnoldsburg, died at his home Sunday morning after suffering a paralytic stroke three weeks ago. He was the son of the late Jabez and Moriah Downs Kingsbury and was united in marriage at an early age to Jermima Lynch, in 1890, who died April 5, 1895. He has three children, Jabez A. Kingsbury of Holloway, Ohio; Homer Kingsbury of Canal Fulton, Ohio, and Addie Parsons of Gallipolis, Ohio, by this marriage.

On May 24, 1896 he married Matilda J. Lynch and had four children by this marriage. They are Cleo C. Kingsbury, Grantsville; Mrs. Vera Smith, Sandyville; Sarah Anderson, Spencer, and Charles Rector Kingsbury, who preceded him in death in 1943.

Besides his widow and children, he is survived by one brother, C. E. Kingsbury of Parkersburg; five grandchildren and three great- grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the Stony Point Methodist church Tuesday at 2:30 p.m., with Rev. Charles Wilkinson officiating. Interment followed in the Lynch cemetery with the Stump Funeral home in charge.
