  Frederich  (“Fred”) Kabisch
  Johann Friedrich Kabisch. Born on 20 Jun 1799 in Zeitz, Prussia, Germany. Johann Friedrich died in Bloomingdale Addition, Fort Wayne, Allen Co., IN, on 6 Sep 1868; he was 69. Buried on 7 Sep 1868, now in Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Allen Co., IN.
  On 22 Jul 1828 when Johann Friedrich was 29, he married Louise Christiane Wilhelmine Homberg, daughter of Johann Traugott Homberg & Maria Christiana Friedrich, in St. Michael Lutheran Church, Zeitz, Saxony. Born on 21 Jun 1805 in Zeitz, Saxony, Prussia. Christened in St. Michael, Zeitz, Saxony, Prussia. Louise Christiane Wilhelmine died in Fort Wayne, Allen Co., IN, on 11 Aug 1883; she was 78. Buried on 14 Aug 1883, now in Lindenwood Cem, Fort Wayne, Allen Co., IN.
  They had the four children: Eleonore Wilhelmine Luise (1829-1908), Julius Friedrich (1835-1879). Franz Rudolph (1836-1902) and one child who did not survive.
       
  They left from the port of Bremen and arrived in New York on the 12 Aug 1853. On 3 Jul 1854 Frederick applied for naturalization in Allen County, Indiana. In 1858-1859 he lived close to Herman Kratzsch, his son-in-law, married to his daughter Eleonore Wilhelmine Luise. Kratzsch’s grocery was located on the west side of Calhoun St. between Berry and Wayne streets as was Kabisch’s beer saloon. Friedrich Kabisch with his son Julius ran the beer saloon and cigar manufacturers business from 1858-1868, according to the Fort Wayne City Directories. 
  In 1868 Fred passed away and Julius continued to run the saloon. Fred lived with his son Rudolph when he died. Fred and Louise Kabisch were members of St. John’s Lutheran Church. They were originally buried in the McCulloch cemetery where McCullouch Park is now, next to the General Electric Company on Broadway. They were transferred to Lindenwood Cemetery when it was opened.

    Frederick Kabizch appeared at the Allen Circuit Court on 15 Nov 1860. Native of Prussia, and shows to the court by a certificate under seal that on the 3 day of July 1854 he reported himself for naturalization and declared his intentions before the Allen Co. Clerk. Sworn in open court and makes oath that he will support the Constitution of the United States and renounces his loyalty to Frederick william King of Prussia.

    Partial summary: Fred K Kabbach, 61, lived next door to Herman Kratch. He was a grocer, $300 personal, born Prussia, Germany, lived with Luisa, age 54; Julius, age 25; and Rudolph, age 24, a plasterer.
