Fletch was born at Octavia, Nebr., was sheriff of Perkins Cty., Nebr. for 2 1/2 terms. He served in the Spanish-American war in the Phillippines. He returned to the United States in May, 1907, and in June was married in Norfolk, Va. They engaged in cattle raising in Western Nebr., on the old McCormick Ranch, N.E. of Grant until moving to Lancaster, Calif., in 1920. He also served a brief time in World War I. He was a member of the Roosevelt School Board and Custodian of the Cty. Bldg., in Lancaster from 1935-1949. He died of a heart attack while fishing, was buried in Joshua Memorial Park, Lancaster, Calif. Fletch and Dorothy had one son. References
