    Esther V. Kemerer, 88, of Jeannette, died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2000, in the Golden Heights Personal Care Home, Penn Township. She was born Feb. 13, 1911, in Penn, a daughter of the late Mike and Melinda Smith Kifer. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Jeannette. During the war, she was employed by the former General Tire of Jeannette, and later retired from Joseph Horne Co. in Greensburg.
    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jonathan P. Kemerer, in 1992; a brother, Robert Kifer; and two sisters, Betty Loughner and Peg Watkins.
