Ravalli Republic, Feb. 13,1992Elvina H. HillElvina H. Hill,81,of Florence,died Tuesday in Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital. She was born Dec. 27, 1910 in Great Falls, daughter of Henry and Carolyn Nilson Jorgenson. She was raised and graduated from high school in Great Falls. On June 11, 1931, she married Donald Nathan Hill in Great Falls. For a short time she worked as a retail clerk in Great Falls before the family moved to Florence.Elvina helped her husband ranch and the couple operated a bar in Florence and Lolo. Surviving are four sons: Donald of Hamilton, Harvey of Corvallis, Russell of Ellensberg, WA, and Gary of Ravalli, two grandchildren which she raised as her own, Mike Witt of Clinton and Diane Erickson of Page ,ND, one sister, Delphine Tripp of Great Falls, two brothers Henry J. of Great Falls anad George J. of Beaverton, OR, 14 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Mrs. Hill was preceded in death by her husband on Jan.15, 1984, two daughters, Virginia Witt and Karen Martin and one sister and one brother. Services will be Saturday at 11:00AM at the Florence Carlton Church with Pastor Jack Park officiating.A reception and potluck will follow at the Florence Volunteer Fire Dept.Hall. Memorials may be made to the Florence Carlton Volunteer Fire Dept. Services and cremation under the direction of Daly-Leach Chapel, Hamilton.
