April 4, at his residence.
Services were held at l.30 Monday, April 9, at the Leonard Osgood and Wren Funeral Home. Rev. Sidney A. Short officiated and burial was in Hastings Township Cemetery.
He was born in Woodland township on Sept. 4, 1901, the son of Hugh and Minnie (Demaray) Myers. He came to Hastings as a child and attended Hastings schools. He worked for the Michigan Central Railroad for a few years. He married Alice Newton on July 1, 1922. He worked for 44 years at the Viking Corporation, retiring in October of 1966.
He is a former member of the Hastings Elks Lodge.
Surviving are his wife, Alice of Hastings; one son, Max Myers of Hastings; two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Jean) Mosher of Beulah and Mrs. Erwin (Beverly) Knox of Muskegon; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one great great grandchild and one sister, Mrs. Lyle (Arloa) Kurr of Riverside, California.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Barry County Medical Care Facility.
