    (Abraham Cruttenden) married first about 1622 Elizabeth -----, who may have come to New England with him in 1639. Most sources say her name was Mary, but the baptisms of Abraham's daughters Elizabeth and Hannah give her name as Elizabeth.

    Elizabeth Usborne, bp. 13 Jan. 1597[/8]; m. by 1623 Abraham1 Cruttenden. He was probably the Abraham son of Thomas Cruttenden. bp. in the adjacent parish of Etchingham, Sussex. 30 Sept. 1599. Abraham and Elizabeth had four children bp. in Hawkhurst. Kent, before their emigration to New England; all four were named in her brother Peter's will. Abraham and Elizabeth were in Guilford. Conn., in 1639.
