She apparently was the daughter of John Brown & Elizabeth Mercer (who was a daughter of Robert Mercer II & Ann Mounce). George Mercer (Robert's brother?) was supposedly involved with George Washington in the Ohio Land Company (formed 1748). This family needs much further research.

    Based on family tradition -- however, there is a female aged 45+ in the 1810 census listing for her husband, Job Gastineau Sr. (This may be her or it may be some other older female.)
