from attached obituary: Earl R. Rash came to to Idaho in 1903, settled in Long Valley at Arling. In 1919 moved to Nampa, worked 12 years as brakeman on Oregon Short Line railroad. Returned to Cascade for next 10 years, moved to Donnelly in 1941 where he owned and operated a ranch. Member of Peerless lodge, IOOF, Cascade. Survivors: wife Elma Hillman Rash; daughters: Mrs. Georgia Tompkins of Star; Mrs. Dorothy Bain of Valdez, Alaska; Mrs. Ruth Morgan, New Meadows; brothers: W. T. Rash of Nampa; Cecil Rash of Palm Beach, California; sisters: Mrs. Tilly Gill of Boise; Mrs. R. H. Martin of Long Beach, California.
