Dudley H. Hersey was born in Bangor, Dec. 25, 1847. He was educated at Westbrook Seminary, Maine, and came to the Stillwater (Minnesota) at an early age in the employ of his father. In 1872 he became one of the firm of Hersey, Bean & Brown. Mr. Hersey was married to Estella Wardwell, of Bangor, Maine, in 1870. They have one son, Samuel F. -Fifty Years in the Northwest.
