"Douglas Erwin Wardwell, 47, of San Diego died Sept. 13. He was born in Minneapolis and was a civilian electronics engineer for the Navy. Survivors include his parents, Elaine and Wilson Wardwell Jr. of Carlsbad, N.M.; sister, Elizabeth Wardwell of Hot Springs, Ark.; and brother, Alan Wardwell of Baton Rouge, La.
