From Chalkley’s Augusta County Records:

  • Vol. 2 - APRIL, 1805 (F to P). - Bartholomew Fryatt vs. Thomas Kerr--James Quigley, of Rockbridge. Special bail, 24th July, 1806. In 1806 James Quigley bought land in Rockbridge. David Rapp swears in Rockbridge County, 3d June, 1806, that in September last he was at the house of Bartholomew Friatt, who then lived in Chilicothe, in Ohio, and he still lives there. Charge was that Bartholomew took two of Thomas' horses with him when he went from Quigley's.
