Cudjoe Walker was the father of Simon Walker. Simon, Cudjoe's son, opened a Freedmen's Bank account in Charleston, June 9, 1871. His application indicates that he was born and raised in St. Andrews Parish, Charleston County, South Carolina. He listed his residence as Drayton Hall Plantation, St. Andrews Parish.

Simon gave his parents' names as Cudjoe Walker and Die. Both were listed as deceased on Simon's 1871 Freedmen's Bank record.
