ILLNESS OF 2 YEARS CLAIMS MRS. SALISBURY
Mrs. Cora Salisbury, age 48 years, widow of the late Earl J. Salisbury, died Thursday night at 11:30 0'clock at the family home, 304 Union Street, following an illness of nearly two years' duration.
The decdent was born in Valparaiso on Augsut 25, 1885, a duaghter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William L. Wilson. Her father was the founder of the Wilson Lumber and Coal Company.
Both she and her husband were members of the celebrated Salisbury Family orchestra which during its tours through the country over a period of years gained national recognition.
Mrs. Salisbury's death followed closely that of her mother Mrs. Nellie Wilson who died on December 11 last. Mr. Salisbury preceded his wife in death nearly four years ago.
Surviving are one son, Roger and one daughter Barbara Nell, and the following brothers and sisters, Wallace Wilson of Valparaiso; Mrs. Myrtle Reed of Seattle, Wash.; William V. Wilson of Vancouver, Wash., Frank and Roger Wilson, of Chicago; and Earl Wilson, of Washington, D.C. A brother Ralph, died last spring.
Mrs. Salisbury was a member of the Eastern Star chapter of this city and the local P.E.O. organization.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Frank A. LePell funeral home on Monroe Street, conducted by Rev. Chester W. Wharton. Burial will be in Graceland cemetery.
