«i» Dayton Township Resident Passes at Age 70; Born in Alsace «/i» Charles E. Miller, 70, for many years a resident of Dayton township, died at Gerber Memorial Hospital Tuesday Morning, May 7. Mr. Miller was born January 13, 1865 in Alsace Loraine. He came to Michigan with his parents at an early age and has lived his entire left [sic] in and around Fremont, at one time conducting a grocery business here. He was a member of the Church of Christ and Fremont Grange No. 494. He is survived by his wife, Helen A. Miller, one son, C. Weldon, two sisters, Mrs. Sophia Kembell and Mrs. Daphne Stratton; one brother, Geo. H. Miller of White Cloud, and a half-brother, Will Tindall of Boyne City, besides several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held this afternoon at two o'clock, at the Church of Christ, Rev. Clyde E. Pickett, pastor of the church will officiate. Burial will be at Maple Grove cemetery. Funeral arrangements are in charge of Crandell & Ensing.
