BEAL, Charles L.
ELLERSLIE — Charles L. Beal, 81, died yesterday at his home here following a long illness. Born in Palo Alto, Pa., he was a son of the late John and Nancy (Bennett) Beal. Mr. Beal was twice married and both of his wives, Verna (Shaffer) Beal and Mae (Wolford) Beal, preceded him in death. He was a retired employe of the Pennsylvania Railroad Company and was a member of Ellerslie Evangelical United Brethren Church, Ellerslie Patriotic Order of the Sons of America and the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen. Surviving are five children, Roy Beal, Hyndman; Mrs. Leora Burkey, Cumberland; Mrs. Violet Cooper, Ellerslie; Mrs. Dorothy Cresap, Martinsburg, W. Va., and Stanford Beal, Geneva, Ohio; a brother, Irvin Beal, Ellerslie; a sister, Mrs. Minnie Wilson, Newark, Ohio; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted Friday at 2 p. m. at Ellerslie EUB Church by Rev. Harvey Williams, and Rev. Charles Raley. Burial will be in Hyndman Cemetery. The body will be at the residence after 7 p. m. today. It will be taken to the church Friday at 1 p. m.
